
The
students of Sophia Polytechnic cooked up quite a storm on Friday evening.
Literally! Their training restaurant transformed into an elegant dining
hall, where foodie guests Rashmi Uday Singh, Sanjeev Kapoor and wife Alyona,
Zeba Kohli, Arti Surendranath and Claudio Maffioletti, GM, Indo-Italian
Chamber came to eat their hearts out.
And that they certainly did! And mind you, the entire six-course, silver-plated
Italian meal was cooked by the students themselves, who also doubled up
as waiters and waitresses (all part of their course) to the guests. Among
the students was Shobhaa De's daughter Anandita. Sanjeev and Rashmi went
into the kitchen, and gave the budding chefs tips on cooking. Zeba was curious
to know which chocolate the students had used in the "delicious dessert"
while Arti confessed to enjoying the dessert too, "as I have a sweet
tooth!" Claudio surprised all by revealing that his wife had also studied
in the same college! It was an evening that spelt style and delicious flavours
. A great sign of things to come!
