Grooming students in `Food and Beverage Service' skills for basic service in restaurants and allied catering units - this course is for the economically underprivileged only.
S.S.C. The student needs to have appeared for the exam even though he may not have cleared it.
For boys and girls.
This one year course is for the economically underprivileged only.
School, high school drop outs and those that have appeared for their 10th std. exams are eligible to apply.
It is necessary for the candidates to be conversant with English.
Tuition fee is highly subsidized and is Rs. 2,500 per student per annum
Forms are issued and accepted by the Polytechnic only after May 2nd till the 1st week of June approximately.
A personal interview is scheduled in June. Details can be had from the Administrative Office. The results of the final selection will be displayed on the notice board.
Examinations are held at the end of each term. Student achievement is further judged through a system of internal assessment.
Certificates are awarded three months after completion of the course on payment of a fee.

On completion of this course students can look forward to working as stewards / stewardesses in restaurants, hotels and cruise liners.
Students must submit a photocopy of their School Leaving Certificate as well as 2 photographs (4cms x 5 cms) along with their admission form.
