A fully professional training for costume trade in which the accent is on fashion design, giving special attention to practical application of the garment industry. This course caters to those who wish to learn how to make a commercial pattern in a fabric of their choice. Students are shown how to cut out, sew, fit and finish. Accessories and jewellery designing are a part of the curriculum. Teaching is done through individual attention being given to meet different levels from beginners to the more advanced. Entrepreneurship, Communication Skills, Art Elements of Fashion, Computer Applications, Grading and Lay Marking, Fashion Merchandising are also given equal weightage.

Rules for Admission
- A xerox copy of the 10th Std marksheet and a school leaving certificate attested by the school principal, must be attached to the form.
- Domicile:
- Candidates should have studied in the State of Maharashtra for the two preceding academic years.
Children of Government employees are eligible for admission if the parents have been transferred to Maharashtra within two preceding academic years.
- Children of persons domiciled in Maharashtra even if they have passed their qualifying examination from outside the State in the two preceding years.
- Nationality:
- Indian nationals only can apply.
- Non-Resident Indians who originate from Maharashtra do not have special quota.
- Selection:
- Selection for admission shall be made strictly on the basis of merit, with reservation of seats for Reserved

Besides the laboratories and lecture rooms students
are provided with the AV room, Conference room and special reference
library and computer room.
Over and Above
Seminars and workshops by professionals from industry.
Garment Display of their own creations by the 1st and 2nd year students
and by professional models in the final year. Students get good internship
placements for 2 months after each year. Tours are conducted every year
to upgrade their industrial knowledge.
Scope
Can work as lecturers, fashion merchandisers, in-house designers, floor supervisors, floor managers, export managers, entrepreneurs, free lancers in various fields such as exhibitions, back stage management, fashion journalism, fashion choreography, fashion stylists, television serials and films.
